Forty years ago, while working for a designer, I created my first collaged and pieced leather art coat from the scraps off the cutting room floor. Dressing the Governor General
I was honoured to have the Governor General, Mary Simon, wear my designs at a recent Order of Canada ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
A long time customer from Calgary is a personal friend of the Governor General’s and she brought Mary Simon into the boutique where she selected from my collections a wool caplet trimmed in suede with one of my signature suede maple leaf scarves.
After designing and creating for so many years, this is truly an honour! She is such a beautiful woman inside and out.
